- Club Report from the Hoke Hunter Girlz 4-H Club
- February 3, 2007

The second meeting of the Hoke Hunter Girlz 4-H Club was held on February 3, 2007 at McCoy Farms in Hoke County. Club officers were elected at the January 20th meeting and the officer installation ceremony was performed at the start of the meeting. The club officers are as followes: President Nikhol Garbacik, Vice President Kaitlyn Mitchell, Treasurer Stefani Garbacik, Secretary Maya Ballard, News Reporter Keegan Mullane, Health & Safety Maddy Thompson, Recreation Leader Alexa Christensen. The horse club currently has 26 members and clover buds. Old business discussed was to choose club colors and an emblem. The colors are royal blue and gold and the emblem is a jumping horse and rider. It was decided that the club will get t-shirts embroidered with the club name and emblem. Recreation Leader Alexa Christensen presented information on a field trip to Andrews Equestrian College on February 23rd for a tour and to watch a horseshow. It was decided we will attend this. News Reporter Keegan Mullane informed the club she has the website up and running, the address is http://www.freewebs.com/hokehuntergirls/index.htm. She will post pictures and club info on it. The club voted to have a bake sale at Tractor Supply Company on Raeford Rd March 17th. The club is looking forward to the district qualifying horseshow and then competing at the 4-H State Horseshow this summer.

- Megan Hurst from the Horsin' Around 4-H Horse Club in Robeson County showed at her very first horse show at the Robeson County Farmer's Market on June 24, 2006. She showed Zips Pasty Pine, owned by Ester Wood, a volunteer leader from the club, in Aged Mares at Halter and All Aged Mares at Halter. She placed second in both classes.
